How to keep yourself entertained at 1 in the morning (and keep your clothes on)

On saturday I went to a party in guildford with a certain someone. On the way home, following walking down several dead-ends at the labyrinthine guilford station, we missed our train and ended up at Woking station waiting an hour for the last train to Clapham Junction.

So, there we were, waiting at the station in the middle of the night in the cold and the rain... and it was so much fun. We walked up and down the station looking for adventure. We jousted using benches as horses, which quickly degenerated into an imaginary swordfight (I was sadly decapitated). We sang. We danced to mobile phone ring tones (ok, I danced, Em just mocked). We waved at the trains. We made sure that everybody in the whole station thought we were absolutely out of our respective trees.

Must try to miss my late night trains more often.

Par-tay

Woohoo.

It's my birthday. The specifics of my age aren't important, as long as you keep in mind that I am not nearly thrity. I've got years yet. What is important is that to celebrate the occasion I will be having an all-day party right here in my blog. Woo. Wild man. So please bring a drink (and a present *hint hint*) and join the 'fun'. We rock.

There will be virtual icecream and jelly.

Shameless plug

There's a new category up at the Gallery so please everybody get your drawing caps on and submit your pictures. Go on. You know you wanna. I'll try and rustle up something soon if everyone's too shy to be the first.

(P.S thanks to everyone who came to my virtual party - it was a blast. Will blog about my actual birthday soon)

The Pressures of Fatherhood

Exciting news everybody! I'm a father! Here is a picture of my new arrival:

Now I know the resemblence is striking, but unbelievably enough he's actually adopted (but don't tell him yet - I'll wait until he's older). His adoption was Em's birthday present to me - you should have seen my face when I opened it. He lives in africa with a bunch of other chimps, but he has to be looked after by people because his mum died when he was a baby (awwww). The money from the adoption goes towards his care and the care of other chimps, and, I like to think, towards buying him a hat and training him to rollerskate. I assume that since I've adopted him I can ask them to post him to me, and then he'll live with me in my flat and I can play gamecube with him. Chimps are aces. But I still reckon I could beat him at mario kart.

Sloth

Yestrday pontiki excelled so well at embodying sloth that he couldn't even be bothered to make a picture. But he's managed to tone it down a bit today:

The lazy bugger.
